Well, the first S day was here yesterday. I did not do anything crazy. Ate my normal oatmeal (with brown sugar) for breakfast and then went for a long run. I took a power bar and a gel with me on this 2 1/2 hour run. That's about 360 calories for the 2 1/2 hours. Major calorie deficit. Had a recovery shake after then run (delicious - tasted like a frosty) for about 500 calories. I just ate normal for the rest of the day except for about 5 of those ghirardelli chocolate squares. A pretty nice treat.
If you check the side bar - I am down 3.8 pounds and 2 body fat percentage points since the first. I know that this is not 'real weight'. This is the extra water weight that was retained from all of the rich holiday foods. Remember, water weighs about 8.3 pounds per gallon (or 1 liter of water = 1 kilogram - metric is so much easier). The next week will be harder but the weight will be real.
I have a 4 hour bike ride this afternoon.
