The first test: passed on the ice cream

So last night was the last night my sister and her family were in town. The kids had their desserts and were fast asleep. The ice cream came out for the adults and guess what? I passed. Not an 'S' day. Anyone one that knows me knows that this just does not happen very often. I am very good when 'out of sight - out of mind' but when it is thrust into my face - well you better hold on.

And no, the seas did not part and the earth did not shake, but, I just did not want any ice cream. I am taking the diet serious. There had been enough of the 'bad' foods for the month. The true test will be in the coming weeks. I do believe that I will be able to stick to the plan. The scale this morning indicated that I was 1 pound and 1 body fat percentage less. This weight is not real. I will quickly get back down to my normal maintenance weight of about 162 - 163 and then it will get tough.

Mental note: There still is an abundance of chocolate and beer in the house. Must be careful.

That was awesome that you skipped the ice cream. Boston is cold and crowded, see you in a couple of days. J
